Parents and Students:
ACT 862 of 2017 allows public schools and open-enrollment charter schools to develop plans for alternative methods of instruction to be used on days when the superintendent closes school due to exceptional or emergency circumstances such as contagious disease outbreak, inclement weather, utility outage, or other acts of God.
The Commissioner of Education has approved the Hector School District’s alternative instruction plan, and we have been granted the equivalent of five (5) student attendance days. It is the goal of the Hector School District that teaching and learning will be positively impacted by the use of alternative methods of instruction. Student attendance on the AMI day will be determined by his/her completion of the assigned day’s work. Follow the links at the bottom of the page to access AMI assignments.
Should we need to use an AMI day, our teachers and principals will be available via phone and/or email during normal school hours to address any questions or concerns you may have.
